The Great American Road Trip, Part 2

So how was your trip? I can't wait to hear all about it! Now that you've gone on your trip, using Windows Movie Maker or Apple's iMovie, you will create a slideshow of all the great pictures you took on your travels.

"But Mr. Ward, we didn't actually go on the trip."

Au Contraire, my precocious pupil, you did. In your IMAGINATION!

You are going to tell the story of your trip.

  • First, Take a look at all those fabulous places on your itinerary. Look at all the great restaurants, national landmarks, beautiful cities and parks.
  • Go back to some of the places you found and save pictures from some of the places and collect them into a folder.

"But none of the pictures have us in them. How do people know that we actually went on the trip?"

Now, this is where it gets interesting.

  • You will "superimpose" yourself using a photo editor into pictures you find. You can either take photos of your group in various poses and cut and paste yourself into the photo. OR you can find pictures of people and place your head onto their bodies.

  • Once you have the story planned then begin making your slide show.
  • Add your photos.
  • Then, add some music.
  • After that, add some nice transitions and visual effects.
  • Then add some words talking about what you did on your trip.
