Everyone will take part in the planning of your trip. You will need to choose someone from your group for each position. Some will need to take on two roles. Task Manager, Navigator, and Money Manager cannot take on more than one role.

Role Sheet:


Task Manager:
  • Collects information and organizes it into a report.
  • Creates a Daily Itinerary for every day of the trip.
  • Works with the Navigator to decide how much driving your group will do each day.
  • Works with the Money Manager to record the budget for each day.
  • Works with the Weather Watcher to record the weather forecast for each day.
  • Works with the Foodie to record what the group eats each day.
  • Works with the Hotel Agent to record where the group sleeps each day.
  • Works with the Cultural Ambassador to record cultural events on the itinerary
  • Works with the Park Ranger to record the nature-related events on the itinerary


Money Manager:
  • Manages the Budget.
  • Calculates Expenses
  • Sets Daily Allowances for Food, Gas, Hotels, Entertainment with the Foodie, Navigator, Gas Man, Hotel Agent
  • Gives daily reports to the Task Manager


Navigator
  • Maps the route for the two weeks.
  • Works with the Task Manager to decide how much driving your group will do each day
  • Works with the Hotel Agent to find hotels along the route
  • Works with the Foodie to find places to eat along each route.
  • Works with the Cultural Ambassador to plan routes around places to visit.
  • Works with the Park Ranger to plan routes around National Parks and Nature


Weather Watcher:
  • Finds the weather forecast for each day.
  • Reports to the Task Manager to record the weather.
  • Advises the Navigator on bad weather

The Gas Man:
  • Tracks the gas in the vehicle and works with the Navigator to decide when the group will need to stop for gas.
  • Works with Money Manager to report on the price of gas and help to create a gas budget for the trip.

The Foodie:
  • Finds interesting places to eat along the way.
  • Works with the Navigator to find places to eat where the group stops.
  • Works with the Money Manager to set a food budget for each day.
  • Reports to the Task Manager to record where you will eat each day.

  • Works with the Navigator to find hotels along the stopping route.

The Cultural Ambassador
  • Finds interesting museums, festivals, music concerts, and other interesting cultural events along the way.

  • Reports to the Task Manager to record Culture-related events on the itinerary

The Park Ranger:

  • Reports to the Task Manager to record Nature-related events on the Itinerary
